General Dentistry For All The Family

New Patients Welcome In Bristol If you are a NHS patient or private or existing patient you are always welcome.  We will listen to your needs and asses how to achieve a healthy mouth that you are proud of.  We will develop a plan a tailored just for you, and always maintain good oral health.

What Happens On Your First Visit?

  • Our Dentists will have a thorough look at your teeth and gums and your general oral and medical health
  • Take any necessary x-rays
  • Give you time to talk to our Dentist or team member about any concerns you may have
  • Discuss the need for further visits with your dentist
  • If any treatment is needed we will let you know the options and give you a written treatment plan

During the oral examination, our dentists will take a detailed dental history including information about your past attendance at a dental practice, your home routine of oral hygiene maintenance (brushing, flossing etc), any concerns you may have, and your desires
for future care and outcomes.  Please do not hesitate to ask as many questions as you would like – we welcome the opportunity to discuss everything to do with dentistry!

Please rest assured that all information given to Ashley Down Dental care  remains strictly confidential – it will not be shared with anyonewithout your permission.

Emergencies

The PCTs have been given the responsibility since April 2006 to provide out-of-hours dental emergency care (e.g. for bleeding, severepain or swelling) . This facility is available to all patients, NHS andprivate. Our answer phone gives details of the telephone number of a privately funded emergency rota.

For NHS Dental Emergency please Call 111 – Children are seen free of charge.

Private Patients – 07770 941 848 This is the NWBEDS emergency number for Private patients. A call out fee, from £105, will be payable but this includes emergency treatment.

Cancellations

We ask patients to provide 24 hours notice (48 hours in the case of hygienist appointments) of cancellation wherever possible. Please note that where this does not happen, or where appointments are missed, we reserve the right to make a small charge toward the costs involved. This is a standard practice among dentists.
